Thornberry Ltd. Announces Melissa Cooper as New Chief Clinical Officer

LANCASTER, PA (March 18, 2019) – Melissa L Cooper, RN, has joined Thornberry Ltd. as Chief Clinical Officer. Her responsibilities include implementation services and the clinical direction of Thornberry’s NDoc® electronic medical record (EMR) system. Cooper has made it her mission at Thornberry to improve clinical documentation time while maintaining compliance, so that clinicians have more time to focus on patients.

Melissa Cooper is a bachelor’s-prepared Registered Nurse, and earned her Master’s in Business Administration from Milligan College in Johnson City, TN. She has a passion for clinician and patient education, and her speaking credits include several industry events such as NAHC and the North Carolina Association of Homecare.

Prior to Thornberry, Cooper was an executive at Mountain States Health Alliance (now Ballad Health), where she gained extensive experience in the home health and hospice industry over a 17-year career that spanned roles from staff nurse to Vice President. Cooper left Mountain States mid-career to accept a position as VP of Homecare at Sentara in Virginia Beach, VA, and returned to Ballad in 2015 as CEO of Ballad Home Health and Hospice.
